I don’t know if beauty will save the world, but art is the salve to a weary soul.

Like every Alaska-grown kid, I spent my whole life wanting to leave Alaska. Then I did and discovered there is no place on earth as beautiful as the place I get to call home.

From racing sled dogs in junior high and high school, to camping, and fishing, Alaska offers more adventure beauty than one could even dream of capturing in a lifetime.

Rather ideal because I’ll never run out of inspiration to draw from for my art practice, don’t you think?

In 2016 I left a job I loved because of burnout and art became a means of restoring my tired soul. This grew into a regular practice of experimenting and following my creative fancy to see where it took me. I had always loved art. But I never took myself seriously as an artist until recently.

In 2021 I did a First Friday that - much to my own shock and amazement - sold more work than I could’ve imagined. It was then and there that I decided to call myself an “Artist” and see where that could take me. Welcome to the adventure!
